According to the best snow conditions available of the day, we will bring you in our Gipsy Van to the start point location. Our snowboard guide will describe to you the freeride itinerary and the terrain and will give a brief Avalanche Awareness Safety lesson before getting started. On best days you will ride in the freshest powder against the background of the breathtaking Italian Alps and most of all have a lot of fun! Our experts will provide you with an in-depth knowledge about snow conditions and quality service in various skiing destinations throughout the Lombardy Region, as well as St. Moritz ski basin. A perfectly combined Freeride snow holiday package. If you are new to Freeriding but would like to try it, we can design your excursion oriented to those who are beginners to riding in fresh snow, or to those who want to move off the track with greater awareness.
During Freeride Skiing, everyone at Gipsy Riders wears an avalanche beacon and backpack containing a shovel and probe every time we hit the slopes. Everyone is required to participate in an avalanche orientation as well as on-hill avalanche scenarios on the first day. We pride ourselves in our seamless integration of avalanche awareness education into our guided experience. We want to make sure that every single person leaves the Gipsy Riders Snow Experience as a better backcountry skier or snowboarder no matter at which level they began. It is this commitment to proper backcountry protocol that allows us offer a secure and enjoyable experience as well as to educate our clients to become the most responsible riders. It is important to us to build trust within our group to know that we are all willing to work as a team to accomplish our goals on the mountain. And most of all, to enjoy the Ride! Avalanche Training Courses are available as add-ons to the program and can be a great way to take that next step toward becoming a stronger backcountry skier or snowboarder. Don’t worry, we make sure that course participants are not missing out on skiing and using the mountain as an opportunity to practice the skills learned and move through the backcountry with your instructor giving you a much more hands-on education.
