Adapting to your ability level we will make you feel more secure on your skies/telemark skis and you will enjoy your days off the slopes even more! Our certified ski instructor will teach you how to use what technique in any kind of terrain and snow condition. During Freeride Skiing, everyone at Gipsy Riders wears an avalanche beacon and backpack containing a shovel and probe every time we hit the slopes. Everyone is required to participate in an avalanche orientation as well as on-hill avalanche scenarios on the first day. We pride ourselves in our seamless integration of avalanche awareness education into our guided experience. We want to make sure that every single person leaves the Gipsy Riders Snow Experience as a better backcountry skier or snowboarder no matter at which level they began. It is this commitment to proper backcountry protocol that allows us offer a secure and enjoyable experience as well as to educate our clients to become the most responsible riders. It is important to us to build trust within our group to know that we are all willing to work as a team to accomplish our goals on the mountain. And most of all, to enjoy the Ride! Avalanche Training Courses are available as add-ons to the program and can be a great way to take that next step toward becoming a stronger backcountry skier or snowboarder. Don’t worry, we make sure that course participants are not missing out on skiing and using the mountain as an opportunity to practice the skills learned and move through the backcountry with your instructor giving you a much more hands-on education.
